Ritu Auto Gas and Chowgule & Co. select PERP. – ERP Journal
Ahmedabad based Ritu Auto Gas has selected PERP. The company manufactures CNG conversion kits for all Indian cars and has a turnover of Rs.200 million. The software will be implemented at its head office and factory, both in Ahmedabad, and for sales offices around the country. About twenty people are expected to use the package once it goes live. The implementation started in November 1999 and is expected to be over by January 2000. All modules of PERP are being implemented including Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Sales, Distribution, etc. The software will run on Intel based Windows NT Servers and the data transfer between the locations will take place primarily via email.
Another company which has chosen PERP is Goa based Chowgule & Company, a Rs.4 billion company involved in mining, export, ship building and shipping. This company will have over one hundred users over twelve locations. The implementation began in September 1999 and is expected to be complete by March 2000. As of November, the Finance and HR modules had been installed, while the implementation of mine management, inventory, purchasing and export modules is in progress. The software will run on IBM Infinity Servers running Windows NT, while the users will be using Zenith’s Pentium PCs. The data transfer will take place primarily by email on the Internet.
